About Carmen
Custom Cakes by Carmen was founded by Carmen Galarza-Ramos, a Latina entrepreneur and native of Wimauma, Florida.
Carmen has been a pastry chef for nearly 20 years and it was always her dream to own her own bakery. With that dream in one hand and a mixer in the other and sprinkling in lots of support from the local non-profit Enterprising Latinas, Carmen and her family continue to add layers of love to help grow the business from a small home-based operation to a full-fledged baking operation based out of a local commissary kitchen with a brick and mortar bake shop set to open early next year.
Recently, Carmen has been featured on Daytime and Todo Tampa Bay on NBC.
Today, she is recognized in the community for her tenaciousness commitment to family, entrepreneurship, and community.
